The Law School team at Al-Quds University won first place in the written memoranda category of the International Commercial Arbitration Competition in Riyadh. This accomplishment surpassed the performance of 154 competing teams from 24 countries, positioning the team as the sole Palestinian team to secure a top ranking in the competition, which saw active participation from eight Palestinian universities.
The team included students: Aseel Fityani, Rimaz Salah Al-deen, Mohammed Abu Rahma, Raghad Odeh, Dareen Hammad, under the supervision of the supervisors: Dr. Manal Abed, Dr. Mohammed Abu Rumaila, Ms. Sewar Al-Obayat.
The Dean of the Law School, Dr. Issa Mnasra, said, “The Law School is proud of its students for their outstanding performance and perseverance in achieving this success. We appreciate the efforts of the team’s supervisors and coaches and their belief in the team’s abilities, which led to this unprecedented victory and achievement.”
Furthermore, students contended for the Best Advocate Award. Notably, student advocate Aseel Fityani achieved a noteworthy ranking, placing within the top ten out of a total of 924 participants.
It is worth noting that this international competition is organized by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration in partnership with the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and sponsored by Saudi Aramco.
