Al-Quds Bard College for Arts and Science with the Students Activities Club organized the third annual Open Day at the main campus in Abu Dis. This event runs yearly for the students to interact with other students, faculty, and community at large presenting their talents, and academic work.
The activities contained main two parts, beginning with the academic section, in which the best senior students presented their senior project presentations and discussion, especially the following students, Atef Shkokani who presented the Alternative solution of high prices of Gasoline,Layali Jera’I from economics department, Lamia Hindi from science department, Muntaha Abed from Literiture & Society, Lana Ramadan from Human Rights, Qusay Hamash from Media Studies, who presented his film in the main theatre , the Arabic Poetry.
During the Second part of the day which was about the Civic Engagement Presentations, the student Yara Afandi presented her project which is implemented in Duheishe refugee Camp in Bethlehem City, in which she targeted the Palestinian girls to raise awareness among them of the risks of the early marriages and the women’s right in education.
At the end of the day the students enjoyed The Talent Show in which they have presented some plays, music concerts, and discussions.
