​Al Quds University invited the DAAD German Academic Exchange Service to inform the University students on the fantastic opportunities available to them regarding scholarships.

The IT centre seminar room saw many students being informed about the academic opportunities internationally. There are a number of scholarships available; ranging from PHD’s, Masters’ and research mobility projects.

The primary applications are in Jordan and Germany respectively. The Jordan study opportunities offer approximately 20 places with the priority given to female students, institutions such as Yarmouk and JUST are offering Masters’ positions with their establishments. 

Germany is offering places to study across their vsst country for all of the mentioned programs. They are offering 6 students’ the chance to study a Masters’, also 6 for the PHD scholarships. The research mobility programs are dependent on funding. But we are informed that they hope to offer 4-6 student positions.

Furthermore, 9 programs were offered in German Universities, three of which were specifically linked to Information technology and Computer Science.
Overall the event showed many students the great academic opportunities available to them in the future.

Some of our students have taken up these great international prospects in the past and Al-Quds University has seen three of their students successfully find their way onto such programs. The deadline for applying for the following academic year is the 31st of August 2015.
