Al-Quds University has been recognized as the top-ranked institution in Palestine and ranked 840th globally, according to the Round University Ranking (RUR). This prestigious global ranking offers a comprehensive evaluation of academic and research performances across universities worldwide. The ranking is based on 20 diverse indicators, encompassing various dimensions, including the quality of education, scientific research, international diversity, and financial sustainability.

The RUR ranking relied on data used in the evaluation by the global agency Clarivate Analytics. Al-Quds University has been included in most academic subject rankings within the RUR 2024 classification, including in the field of medical sciences, where it ranked 574th globally. This further strengthens its position as one of the leading academic institutions in this vital field

The President of Al-Quds University, Prof. Imad Abu Kishek, emphasized that the University’s entry into this ranking is the result of its continuous efforts to develop the educational environment and enhance the research production of its students and academics in line with international standards. He noted that the University’s progress in international rankings reflects its tireless efforts to achieve academic excellence and enhance its position at both the international and global levels.

Prof. Abu Kishek added that these successive achievements confirm the University’s role as one of the leading academic institutions in Palestine and contribute to raising the level of higher education in the region as a whole. He underscored that the University continues to work toward achieving further progress and leadership to meet the needs of the international scientific community and to develop its students and researchers.

It is worth noting that RUR is a global university ranking system launched by Russia’s RUR Ranking Agency in 2010, which evaluates the effectiveness of 700 leading global universities based on 20 indicators in 4 main areas: Education, Research, International Diversity, and Financial Sustainability.
