The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosts AQB’s lecture on global citizenship and public diplomacy

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates hosted the Head of the Al-Quds Bard’s BA Program in Global Studies and Diplomacy, Dr. Amneh Badran, in a seminar titled ‘Global Citizenship and Public Diplomacy’. The event took place at the Ministry’s headquarters yesterday in Ramallah. The lecture was attended by ministry staff from various departments and sections, as well as a wide participation via Zoom by staff from Palestinian embassies and missions abroad.

During the lecture, Dr. Badran discussed important topics related to the concept of global citizenship and definitions of public and cultural diplomacy from an academic perspective. She also reviewed the growing role of these forms of diplomacy within the framework of both formal and public Palestinian diplomacy.

The lecture was facilitated by Mrs. Gahda Arafat, the head of the Ministry’s  Diplomatic Training Unit, who pointed out that this lecture is part of a series of regular events organized by the Ministry aimed at enhancing diplomatic capabilities, exchanging academic and professional knowledge, and marks the beginning of a strategic cooperation between Al-Quds Bard College / AlQuds University and the Ministry.
