The Urban Studies Program (USSP) of the Social Sciences Division at Al-Quds Bard College (AQB), concluded a study visit to Colombia. In collaboration with the University De Los Andes and the Manchester School of Architecture, USSP participated in  ” A Week of (Un)Grounding”. The Palestinian team delivered a workshop titled: “Palestinian Sarhat: Land Based Pedagogies and Mobility” and a presentation about the Political Ecology of Water and the colonial environmental legacies. Additionally, the film “Foragers” by Jumana Manna was screened and followed by a thoughtful discussion.

The Urban Studies program grounds its learning and pedagogy in critical research and local and international networks of learning. It is well connected with Palestinian think tanks, local and International NGOs, municipalities, and developmental agencies.
