The Executive Vice President of Al-Quds University, Prof. Hassan Dweik and the Belgian Development Agency (ENABLE), signed a cooperation agreement in the field of entrepreneurship and youth empowerment within a project that is affiliated with the Jerusalem Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and supported by the Belgian Cooperation and the European Union.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Belgian Consul General, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Empowerment, Osama Al Saadaw, and Mr. Ibrahim Laafia – Head of Cooperation – European Commission.
The two parties affirmed their endeavor to work together as strategic partners to achieve the best results in the field of entrepreneurship, youth empowerment in the various fields in order to achieve a better future for Palestinian youth, economy, and leadership.
The present project is part of the Youth Economic Empowerment Initiative in Palestine (YEP), which is generously funded by the European Union. The new grants will enhance the capabilities of Palestinian youth and empower them economically by providing training and support to entrepreneurs, which will contribute to creating job opportunities and spurring economic growth In Palestine.
