The President of Al-Quds University (AQU), Prof. Imad Abu Kishek, and the President of Turkish Kutahya Dumlupinar University, Prof. Kazem Awisal, signed agreement of cooperation in the academic and research areas. The signing ceremony took place at Prof. Abu Kishek’s office on the main campus, and it was attended by AQU’s vice presidents and Kutahya Dumlupinar University’s deputy president Prof. Hassan Kocamaz.
Prof. Abu Kishk presented an overview about AQU’s history and programs, elaborating on the endeavors to engage the students and graduates with the labor market through its various academic partnerships and to create a university environment that places scientific research, creativity, and leadership at the top of its priorities. Such endeavors, Abu Kishek said, “Would enable the Palestinian and Jerusalemite youth to create their own opportunities and businesses”.
Prof. Abu Kishek cited AQU’s incubators that focus their work on promoting creativity among students by motivating them to acquire leadership skills and creative thinking. He pointed out that the university’s strategy is based on the transformation from education to research, expressing his enthusiasm to build academic and research relations, including the exchange of students and academic staff, with Kutahya Dumlupinar University.
Prof. Kazem Awisal, for his turn, expressed his happiness for the partnership with AQU. He considered his visit to the university an opportunity to develop relations at the research and academic levels, and launch academic and student exchanges, stressing his aspiration to build strong partnership at all levels.
Al-Quds University seeks to establish international partnerships in order to provide various opportunities for work and academic exchange to its students. It implements a vision that supports the development of the society scientific by boosting research and developing the teaching methods as well as combining education with field work to enable its student to join the market at an early stage.
