AQU President receives Rector of the Slovakian University of Matej Bell

The President of Al-Quds University (AQU), Prof. Imad Abu Kishek met in his office on the main campus the Rector of the Slovakian University of Matej Bell, Dr. Vladimír Hiadlovský, in the presence of academics from both universities and two guests from Birzeit University.

Prof. Abu Kishek presented an overview about the history of Al-Quds University and its faculties and programs and the various locations in Jerusalem. He highlighted the university’s pioneering social role in serving the Jerusalemites. He reiterated the university’s strategy of empowering the students and preparing them to create unique job opportunities in light of the needs of the labor market and the technological and scientific developments.

Prof. Abu Kishek noted that AQU seeks to build and develop diverse academic and scientific partnerships, which is evident in its partnership with Bard College and Harvard University, and the pioneering incubators that support the students and hone their skills at all levels.

The Rector of the University of Matej Bell, Vladimir Hiadlovsky, thanked Al-Quds University for seeking to launch joint cooperation with Matej Bell, which is among the priorities that he thinks would “contribute to promote academic partnerships with Palestinian universities.

The two parties discussed joint work in the field of economics and business, including digital marketing and business administration programs, in addition to discussing prospects of academic and research cooperation.

Al-Quds University has established a wide network of academic and research relations with regional and international universities. Such partnerships focus on the strategy of fostering the students’ skills to better serve the society and meet the needs of the labor market.
