Al-Quds Bard College Hosted A Public Lecture By Prof. Patricia Graham

Al-Quds University| On Monday Nov 14th, The MAT program at Al-Quds Bard College for Arts and Sciences hosted a public lecture by Prof. Patricia Graham on the History of American Education. Prof. Graham is a leading historian of American education who taught in Deep Creek and Nor folk, Virginia as well as at Colombia University. She was appointed by the President of the United States as the Director of the National Institute of Education where she served from 1977 to 1979.

During the Lecture, Prof. Graham talked about the history of the American education since the start of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. She explained the stages that the American public educational system went through during that period and the effects of each stage on American society. Prof. Graham emphasized the role of American education in integrating immigrants and other minority populations.

Students and faculty of Al-Quds Bard College attended the lecture by asking questions and participating in a constructive discussion.
