The Voluntary Work Unit provides an integrated program for internal and external volunteering, according to a mechanism that contributes to building the spirit of volunteering and teamwork among students. Each student must accomplish 80 hours of volunteering inside the campus and in the various colleges and departments of the university, and 40 hours of external volunteering in civil society institutions. This is part of a vision that aims to integrate students socially and develop the spirit of social responsibility and the values of belonging, altruism and giving.

The tasks of the unit include organizing introductory meetings for the student volunteers as well as activities, holding training programs that require carrying out certain responsibilities, allocating volunteers to different university departments, following up on their performances and evaluating them to find modern and creative volunteering events that are compatible with the needs of the university and community institutions.
