The Sports Activities Unit develops a plan and program for internal tournaments for Al-Quds University students to sort the representatives of the university teams in the university sports federation tournaPalestinian Federation for University Sports ments, including: AQU’s chess tournament, the annual Jerusalem tournament under the supervision of AQU and the Palestinian Chess Federation, the table tennis tournament, the badminton tournament, the taekwondo tournament, the annual Jerusalem International Marathon, and the college football championship.

The Sports Activities Department prepares the teams work in cooperation with the Faculty of Physical Education under the supervision of specialized trainers. During the last ten years, the players of the university teams were able to win most of the Palestinian university championships with 122 cups and centers, and represented the Palestinian university team and the Palestinian federations’ teams in international participation and championships, including the World University Athletics Championship – 400 meters, the Asian Kickboxing Championship for females, and others.

Al-Quds University is a member of the Palestinian Federation for University Sports, and one of the founders of this body with its participation and the unique contributions of its players in the activities of the federation. Mr. Ahmed Radi Qurei represents Al-Quds University in the federation, and he was elected Secretary General of the Palestinian University Sports Federation.
