About

Meet Math museum (MMM) is the first interactive educational museum for mathematics in Palestine and the region that operates within the largest network of mathematics museums and centers in the world. The museum provides advanced educational tools for school students, including interactive exhibits that explain natural phenomena and facilitate the understanding of mathematical theories through direct practical interaction, as it adopts the method of learning through interaction, play and application. This method facilitates understanding the scientific idea by discovery and turns mathematical theoretical learning into a lively and creative practice.

The Meet Math museum at Al-Quds University first launched on February 12, 2007, with the support of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Our Objectives

Teacher Development

Develop school teachers’ understanding of mathematics as a dynamic experiential concept based on pictorial knowledge and inquiry, and to improve their ability to make appropriate educational decisions, taking into account the needs of the students.

Mathematics Education

Through its plan for school students, the museum aims to motivate them to learn mathematics and various natural sciences, by focusing on the importance of mathematics as one of the most important pillars of natural sciences through interactive education, and helping them make connections between exhibits and mathematical theories.

Teaching Enhancement

Increase the effectiveness of math teaching methods and the necessary methods and tools in the teaching process.

Critical Thinking

Provide the opportunity to practice sound ways of thinking such as inductive, deductive and reflective thinking.

Mathematical Skills

Acquire the mathematical knowledge needed to understand quantitative aspects, and learn some practical skills such as: Using engineering tools, measuring skills, practical constructions, and operating some devices and machines

Scientific Engagement

Stimulate visitors’ scientific curiosity and encourage them to participate and interact with the exhibits, and attract ideas and perspectives related to improving the methods.

Experimental Integration

Integrate visitors directly with the experimental process in mathematics through experiments or direct interaction with devices, embodying their own hypotheses, observing the results and forming conclusions.
