الأستاذ الدكتور مصطفى أبو صوي هو أستاذ الكرسي المكتمل لدراسة فكر الإمام الغزالي ومنهجه في المسجد الأقصى المبارك وجامعة القدس.   تخرج من كلية بوسطن في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عام 1993 وكانت رسالة الدكتوراة بعنوان: "التطور في نظرية المعرفة عند الإمام الغزالي" ومن مؤلفاته بالعربية تحقيق "فتاوى الغزالي" (1996). قام بالتدريس في الجامعة الإسلامية العالمية في ماليزيا (1993-1996) ثم في جامعة القدس منذ عام 1996. كان أستاذا زائرا في برنامج فولبرايت في جامعة فلوريدا الأطلنطية (2003-2004)، وفي كلية بارد في نيويورك (الفصل الأول 2008-2009 والسنة الدراسية 2010-2011).
