Overview 

Al-Quds University Career Center, a growing team of diverse professionals, is the first comprehensive one stop center of its kind in Palestine to provide students with opportunities for career exploration and planning,  job preparation assistance and professional training to successfully join the job market as part of their degree  qualification while connecting them to a network of employers. 

Job Summary 

Al-Quds University Career Center is looking for a qualified and experienced Part-Time Soft Skills Trainer who  is highly motivated, hardworking, dedicated, and flexible to join its team. The successful candidate will play  a key role in the designing, developing and delivery of a wide range of career programs to educate students  on all aspects of career development and prepare them for the job market. 

This is a fixed-term position from September 16, 2023 to December 20, 2023, involving the teaching of a  number of workshops on the Fall 2023-2024 semester. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

1. Plan, design, and deliver informational, interactive, and engaging career-related workshops for  students on the Fall 2023-2024 semester in one or more of the following programs: 1. Career Planning Program including topics such as self-assessment for career exploration,  developing career plan, major and career exploration 
2. Career Services Program including topics such as successful job searching, resume and cover  letter writing, interviewing skills, 30-second elevator pitch, establishing LinkedIn profile, social  media profiles and personal branding, writing professional emails and correspondence  
3. Soft Skills Program including topics such as effective communication and public speaking,  effective business presentation, teamwork and collaboration, problem-solving and decision making, leadership, emotional intelligence, critical thinking and creativity
   • Develop and prepare instructional materials for the workshops
   • Encourage student learning and development
   • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students in the learning process ▪ Prepare and deliver class activities and quizzes
   • Assess students’ progress and provide feedback
   • Retain workshop records and prepare written reports
   • Perform other job-related duties as requested 

Required Qualifications 

• BA/MA degree in English, Communication, Business Administration, Economics, Education, or  related field 
• 2-4 years of experience as a trainer of soft/ life/career development skills, preferably at college level ▪ Strong commitment to teaching excellence 
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills 
• Ability to work independently with little supervision; collaborate well with a team ▪ Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite applications and Google Workspace
