Al-Quds University Vice President, Prof. Hasan Dweik met in his office on Sunday, Dec. 11th, the representative of the Hungarian Republic to Palestine, Dr. Šaba Rada, and the Vice President of the Metropolitan University for International Relations, Dr. Peter Rada, to discuss joint cooperation. The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mutasim Hamdan, Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Jadoua, Dean of Al-Quds Bard College, Prof. Dr. Daniel Terris, and Dr. Mohamed Salem from the Faculty of Business and Economics.
Prof. Dweik presented an overview of AQU’s centers in Jerusalem, pointing to the need for developing academic and student exchanges between the two parties. He touched on the university’s strategy to engage the students in the labor market through its various academic partnerships, in addition to its efforts to build a research environment that places scientific research, creativity and entrepreneurship at the top of its priorities in order to enable Palestinian youth to create their own opportunities and businesses, which in turn will boost national economy.
Dr. Saba Rada, for his part, expressed his enthusiasm for developing partnership between Hungarian universities and Al-Quds University in the academic and research areas. He considered his visit to the university an opportunity to enhance relations collaborations at the research and academic
This meeting comes within Al-Quds University’s strategy of expanding its network of academic and research relations locally and internationally to hone the students’ skills and better train them to serve the society and become more creative.
